It’s time for the first December Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer — and we’re talking about winter comfort reads.
You know, the ones you reach for every year without even thinking about it.
This Week’s Prompt:
What kind of book do you like to curl up with in the winter?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
My Answer:
Winter is 100% my holiday romance season. When the weather turns cooler, I want hopeful stories, small towns, and people finding their way back to each other. Most years I go back and reread Debbie Macomber’s angel books — Angels Everywhere, Mrs. Miracle, those gentle, slightly magical stories that make you feel like the season still has wonder in it.
I also love anything “snowbound” or “stranded in a cabin together” (thank you, Harlequin wintery themed books 😍). Something about the forced proximity + cozy setting just fits December. And if there’s a tree-lighting, a small-town festival, or a grumpy hero who softens by chapter ten? Sold.
So yes — give me holiday romance, light faith threads, family reconciliation, and a guaranteed happy ending. December is when I read for comfort, not challenge.

I hope to read a few light holiday books this month! Winter is generally a pleasant month for us, with nice temperatures and no snow, so we tend to be outside a lot then.

ReplyDeleteThose books sound good. I'm not too bothered about the genre, but I prefer a wintery setting in winter!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
