My Review
Sheriff Boone Taylor is a no-nonsense cowboy—widowed, raising two sons, and keeping to himself. The last thing he expects is to fall for Tara Kendall, a city transplant trying her hand at country life. Their slow-burn romance unfolds with banter, heartache, and unexpected parenting challenges that bring them closer.
The story shines in its emotional depth. Boone’s journey from loss to love is handled with sensitivity, while Tara’s fresh start is relatable and hopeful. Their chemistry feels genuine, especially as they navigate parenting and personal growth. Add in a quirky town and lively side characters, and you’ve got a story that’s both funny and heartwarming.
Even though I hadn’t read the first two books, this one stands on its own. That said, it made me want to go back and read about the other couples in Parable!
Final Thoughts
Big Sky River is a tender and satisfying romance full of love, laughter, and second chances. A must-read for fans of small-town westerns and feel-good love stories. If you enjoy books with cowboys, kids, and emotional depth, don’t miss this one.
