My Review
I came across Big Sky Mountain on NetGalley and instantly clicked with the western romance vibe. Even though it’s book two in the Parable, Montana series, I didn’t feel lost—in fact, it made me eager to backtrack and read Big Sky Country.
Linda Lael Miller’s signature style shines through in this tale of not just one, but two second-chance storylines. First, there’s the evolving bond between half-brothers Hutch and Slade, who work through long-standing resentment and find common ground. Their reconciliation was unexpectedly touching.
Then there’s the core romance: Hutch Carmody and Kendra Shepherd. Their history is tangled, their chemistry undeniable, and watching them navigate the storm of past hurt and present attraction kept me flipping pages. Can time and maturity heal old wounds? This book explores that question beautifully.
And let’s not forget Madison, Kendra’s adorable daughter, who steals every scene she’s in. Her charm adds warmth and humor, perfectly balancing the heavier emotional beats.
