What happens when a fiercely independent young woman meets a loyal, protective bodyguard with baggage of his own? Taken by Tuesday is a heartfelt blend of sweet, swoony, and suspenseful—perfect for fans of protective heroes and smart heroines. Catherine Bybee delivers another page-turning installment in her beloved Weekday Brides series, and this one brings a slow-burn romance with a twist of danger and a whole lot of heart.
My Review
Each book in this series just gets better. Taken by Tuesday is both cute and sexy—but then it takes a sharp turn into suspense that I didn't see coming. I couldn’t put it down (but let’s be honest—I never can when it comes to a Catherine Bybee book).Judy Gardner is ready for a fresh start in LA, armed with ambition and independence. Enter Rick Evans—a loyal bodyguard hired to keep her safe. He’s protective, brooding, and clearly fighting his own internal battles. Their chemistry grows from slow glances to fiery moments, but when cyberstalking turns into a real-life threat, everything changes.
Bybee weaves in a timely message about the dangers of internet gaming and social media oversharing. The suspense element is tightly written and feels grounded in today’s digital world. There’s a lesson tucked in there—how much of your personal life do you really want to share online?
And when Judy’s safety is threatened, Rick’s devotion is tested. He’s wrongly accused, torn between duty and desire, and has to risk everything to be the hero she didn’t know she needed.
You can absolutely read this as a standalone, but as someone who devours anything Catherine writes—whether it’s her sexy time-traveling Highlanders, her heartfelt contemporaries, or her paranormal shapeshifters—this series is must-read.
