Release Date: February 3rd, 2015

Book Blurb:
Megan Frampton’s Dukes Behaving Badly series is back—this time with an earl who meets his match in a delightfully fun and sexy novella!
What’s a lovely young woman doing asleep in his bed? Matthew, Earl of Selkirk, is shocked to discover it’s his new housekeeper! She’s a far cry from the gray-haired woman he expected. Matthew is no fan of surprises, and Annabelle Tyne is pure temptation. Perhaps he shouldn’t have hired her sight unseen.
Annabelle, co-owner of the Quality Employment Agency, is no housekeeper—but she wasn’t about to lose a potential client just because there was no one to fill the role. Imagine her shock when the Earl arrives at his London townhome and she’s awoken in the night by the most attractive man she’s ever seen.
Matthew is a man who lives life by the rules, but sometimes rules are made to be broken… and being bad can be very, very good.
📝 Updated Review Note:
This review was originally published in 2015 and has been refreshed in 2025 to improve formatting, readability, and SEO. My thoughts remain just as fond—this novella is still a delightful treat for historical romance fans!
My Review:
If you enjoyed The Duke’s Guide to Correct Behavior, you’re going to love this charming novella! When Good Earls Go Bad is short, sweet, and perfect for cozying up with on a winter night. It’s lighthearted, whimsical, and full of the kind of romantic mischief that makes novellas so enjoyable.
The chemistry between Matthew and Annabelle is instant, yet it never feels forced. I loved how their unexpected meeting kicks off a romance filled with witty banter and heart. Annabelle’s boldness and Matthew’s uptight nature make for a delightful contrast. This story stands well on its own, but if you haven’t read the first in the series, I highly recommend starting there too.
Historical romance lovers, especially those who enjoy novellas with humor and heart, will find this one a real gem. I’m already looking forward to the next in the series, Put Up Your Duke, which was scheduled for release in June 2015.
