Formatting might seem small, but it changes the entire reading experience.
It’s time for another Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer! Each week, we all answer the same bookish question and then hop around to see everyone’s responses.
This Week’s Prompt
When writing reviews, do you align your text to the left, center, right, or justify it?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee-Addicted Writer)
My Answer
For me, it’s always left-aligned.
Left alignment feels clean, natural, and easiest on the eyes — especially for longer reviews. Since I want readers to focus on the story and my thoughts about it, I try to keep formatting simple and distraction-free.
Centered text can look beautiful for quotes or short sections, but for full paragraphs, it becomes harder to follow. And justified text can sometimes create uneven spacing that pulls attention away from the content.
When it comes to reviews, readability wins every time. If the formatting disappears into the background, that’s usually a good sign.
How about you? Do you think formatting makes a difference when reading reviews?

I do mine to the left too! I try to make my posts as clear as possible - a fairly simple font and a good size.

Great points. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Reading!
DeleteWell said. I use centered text when I'm making a list, and I like the look of justified text, but typically I use left-aligned text.
ReplyDeleteI love that you adjust it depending on the content. Formatting really can change the feel of a post.
