I used to ask, “What’s on your nightstand?”—but let’s be real, most of my reading lives on my Kindle Paperwhite or in the Libby app these days. My digital queue is a mix of impulse buys, reader recommendations, the occasional Kindle Unlimited discovery, and books that have been patiently waiting for the perfect reading mood.

I’m also terrible about letting my Kindle queue grow faster than I can read it. Every time I open the store just to “browse,” something new sneaks onto the list.

Clearly I’ve been in a romance-reading mood lately. This is just one page of what’s currently waiting on my Kindle.

These are the books currently sitting closest to the top of my queue—organized by how I’m actually choosing books lately (aka: excitement, mood, and a little curiosity).

After finishing A Whisper and a Curse last week, I’m eager to continue the Raven & Wren series. This next installment features a fake marriage storyline—always one of my favorite tropes.

A coastal story about friendship, fresh starts, and the power of books to bring people together. This one feels perfect for a slower reading weekend when I’m in the mood for a warm, community-centered story set by the water.

My Wildcard Pick (Not Romance… But Still in My Queue)

The Widowmaker: A Black Harbor Novel by Hannah Morrissey
A gritty mystery I grabbed on Libby. I like slipping a darker read in between romances—especially when I’m in the mood for a quiet evening and a twisty plot.
