Some bookish habits aren’t intentional—they just quietly become part of how we read.
It’s time for another Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer! Each week, we all answer the same bookish question and then hop around to see everyone’s responses.
This Week’s Prompt
Do you have any bookish habits or quirks you catch yourself doing again and again?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee-Addicted Writer)
My Answer
I definitely have a few bookish habits that I don’t even think about anymore—they’ve just become part of how I read.
One of the biggest is checking how much of the book I have left. I’ll tell myself I’m not going to look… and then I do it anyway, especially when the story starts picking up. I think part of me just wants to know how close I am to the ending.
I also tend to reread favorite passages without meaning to. If a moment really stands out—whether it’s emotional, romantic, or just beautifully written—I’ll pause and go back before moving forward.
And then there’s the habit of building a cozy little reading setup before I even start. Whether it’s grabbing a drink, adjusting the lighting, or settling into the perfect spot, I like everything to feel just right before I dive in. It’s all part of creating a perfect reading experience .

I always do that too! I didn't even think about it as a habit as I've always done it 😂 at present I am trying to read a book in 3 days or less so I'm trying to read it in blocks of 33% and constantly checking to see where I am at 😂
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

DeleteOh golly! I do that, too. I hate it, but I almost always check to see how many pages are left in a book, especially if it is a slow read.
ReplyDeleteGood to know I am not the only one with this quirk. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Reading!
