Is there a book you keep coming back to, reading it more than once?

My Answer
Mine is actually a series rather than one book: Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle stories.
I usually start reading them again in early November. For me, they have become part of settling into the holiday season, almost like bringing out a favorite decoration or watching a Christmas movie I already know by heart.
What keeps drawing me back is Mrs. Merkle — affectionately called Mrs. Miracle. She seems to appear exactly when someone is feeling lost, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a little help.
There’s something comforting about that idea: when life feels uncertain and someone needs a miracle most, Mrs. Miracle quietly arrives on the doorstep. With a little bit of mystery and magic, she helps mend relationships, grant a few wishes, and sometimes heal hearts that need it most.
I already know the kind of warmth these stories will give me, and that’s exactly why I return to them. I’m not rereading because I’ve forgotten what happens. I’m rereading because I remember how they make me feel.
So while I don’t reread many books regularly, the Mrs. Miracle series has become one of my favorite November traditions.

That's lovely. I will have to have a look at that series. I have Blog Tours, Netgalley books and a physical TBR piles of about 120 books so rereading isn't really an option 😂

DeleteThose kinds of rereads are perfect! For a while I always read The Dark is Rising at Christmas, because it fits with the season. I don't know if it still happens, but there used to be a yearly readalong for that reason. It's nice to have traditions like that!
