It’s time for another Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer! Each week, we all answer the same bookish question and then hop around to see everyone’s picks.

Which book pairs perfectly with a certain snack in your opinion?

My Answer

My perfect pairing this week is No More Yesterdays (The Heirs Book 3) by Catherine Bybee with wine + a charcuterie board.

This book is part of Catherine Bybee’s The Heirs series, which blends family dynamics, romance, and suspense.

This book has that “settle in and don’t interrupt me” energy—romantic suspense, high stakes, and a heroine who’s carrying the weight of an entire legacy. Alex Stone steps into the CEO role after her father’s death, and the pressure only ramps up when threats start closing in.

One detail that really stood out to me is the Stone family’s wine cellar. Their father had a private collection—bottles he collected far more than he ever drank, some worth thousands of dollars—quietly aging away in the cellar instead of being enjoyed. Wine comes up throughout the story, often tied to moments of family, reflection, and finally allowing themselves to savor what their father left behind.

That’s why a charcuterie board feels like the perfect pairing. A mix of aged cheeses, cured meats, olives, and fruit mirrors the story itself—layered, savory, and meant to be enjoyed slowly. Add a glass of wine, and it becomes the kind of reading experience that encourages you to linger over every chapter.

Side note: this is one of my favorite kinds of pairings for book club nights, because charcuterie boards, cheese knives, slate boards, wine stoppers, and other “hostess-style” extras make it easy to set the mood. If you enjoy hosting like this, you can see everything I use to host book club nights.

Now I want to know yours: what’s the book-and-snack combo you swear by? Are you more of a “chips and thrillers” reader… or “cookies and comfort romance”?
