15 Books to Pack for a Getaway

Books and an e-reader packed for a relaxing getaway

Not every book belongs in your suitcase.

Some stories demand your attention. Others fit into the rhythm of a trip—easy to pick up, easy to return to, and perfect for those in-between moments.

When I pack for a getaway, I’m not looking for the most intense read—I’m looking for the right kind of read.

These are books that travel well: lighter in structure, satisfying in story, and easy to enjoy without taking over your time away.
