My Review of Love Wells Kept
What makes Love Wells Kept stand apart from many memory-loss romances is that the story is not built around strangers discovering an unexpected attraction. Kate and Jackson already have a long history. They have a marriage, children, routines, private jokes, responsibilities, and countless small moments that helped shape the people they became.
Kate remembers all of it. Jackson remembers none of it.
That imbalance gives the story much of its emotional weight. Kate cannot simply introduce herself and begin again without also carrying the grief of everything Jackson has lost. She is expected to remain hopeful because he survived, yet survival does not immediately return the husband, father, and partner she knew.
Kate's strength is not presented as effortless. She is capable and fiercely devoted to her family, but she is also tired, hurt, frustrated, and afraid. Her pain comes not only from being forgotten, but from watching Jackson struggle with a life everyone tells him belongs to him.

I don't read much in the way of western romances anymore (although, I guess I should since I'm now in the Wild West, LOL) but this one sounds really interesting. Amnesia-driven plots can be fun!
