My Thoughts
This story has it all — espionage, passion, and a healthy dose of danger. While it’s the fifth book in the Secrets & Seduction series, it absolutely reads as a standalone. Sharon Cullen does a fantastic job weaving in just enough background so you never feel lost.
The chemistry between Sebastian and Gabrielle is undeniable. They burn up the pages in their initial affair, but when fate (and the Crown) brings them back together, the sparks reignite in a big way. What I loved most was that their relationship isn't just about passion — it’s about two people who respect each other’s strengths in a world that often underestimates them.
The suspense had me hooked. Just when I thought I had the mystery figured out, another twist would throw me off. If you enjoy a blend of intrigue, romance, and strong characters with secrets of their own, you’ll adore this one. Highly recommend for fans of spy romances and historical heat!
